Our Beliefs
-
Salvation
God created humanity good and in His image, but through sin we fell and became separated from Him. Our only hope for redemption is Jesus Christ. Through His blood shed on the cross and His resurrection, He provides the only way of forgiveness and salvation. This salvation is a free gift of God’s grace received not by our efforts, but by turning from sin and placing our faith in Jesus Christ. In repentance and faith, we are forgiven, made new, and empowered to follow Him.
-
THE BIBLE
We believe the Scriptures are God’s Word, given to humanity through human writers who were guided by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is fully inspired by God, completely trustworthy, and without error. It is the ultimate authority for what we believe and how we live, speaking with relevance to every generation and every part of life.
-
The Trinity
We believe in one eternal God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is fully God equal in nature, power, and authority yet they carry out distinct roles in perfect unity and relationship.
-
Holy Spirit
The presence of the Holy Spirit assures us of our relationship with Christ. He guides believers into all truth and exalts Christ. He convicts people of sin, reveals God’s righteousness, and declares the coming judgment. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and transforms us to be more like Christ. Evidence of the Holy Spirit is seen in the fruit of the Spirit, speaking in unknown tongues, the gifts of the Spirit, and His power at work in our lives.
-
Baptisim
Baptism is an outward expression of the inward work of salvation. It is a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ. While baptism is commanded by God, it is not the means of salvation. We practice baptism by full immersion, symbolizing the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and our new life in Him.
-
Communion
Communion is a sacred time of remembering the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Through the bread and the cup, we symbolically proclaim His body and blood given for us on the cross. It is a practice for believers to reflect on His death, celebrate His resurrection, and look forward to His return.
